<title>Pick the best dentist Fort Mill has to offer</title>
<description>For those who may be on the lookout for a new dentist Fort Mill and surrounding areas have many offices to choose from. I would like to say that my advise is unbiased, but I know that my opinions are too strong to claim that it is! I believe very firmly that the best sort of dental office is a family oriented dentist fort mill [1]. The area offers many options that can fulfill all your dental care needs, and you may certainly have justifiable reasons to use the dentist Fort Mill that you use. But if you are going to a mall or storefront to see your dentist Fort Mill offices have plenty of better alternatives. A good, family oriented dentist can get to know you, get to know your kids and maybe make it a bit easier for them if, as most kids do, they dread going to see a dentist Fort Mill has a few offices that fit that description and can offer you a pleasant experience that is easier on the family, while at the same time provide you with an excellent level of oral care. Sadly, no one can say there is a such thing as a pain free dentist Fort Mill included. A family dentist Fort Mill style can only guarantee a quality, friendly experience. If you need drilling, there is always some level of discomfort no matter who or where you go. Having said that, I would much prefer the atmosphere of a family dentist Fort Mill style. A doctor who is compassionate and is genuinely concerned about his patients makes all the difference in the world in terms of your satisfaction. Now you know how I feel about what kind of dentist you should pick. For a nice family dentist Fort Mill will not disappoint!

The Cancer Epidemic That Continues
Are you aware that nearly 50% of Americans will develop some form of cancer today, and that by 2050 the cancer rate will have nearly doubled? (National Cancer Institute &#8211; NCI) With billions given to research for a cure, prevention methods and supposedly the most brilliant minds to task, the last 40 years have yielded very little in regards to either objective. We’re a nation with one of the greatest technological capabilities known to man, a world super power, yet have the third sickest population falling only to China and India (U.S. Census Bureau &#8211; extrapolations). Making matters worse are statistics that show chronic disease wildly more prevalent within developed / industrialized nations.
Is Cancer Really Genetic?
A succession of scientific findings beginning with studies conducted in the late 19th and early 20th century combined with the discovery of the oncogene by MIT’s-Dr. Robert A. Weinberg has led scientists to suggest that cancer is genetic and is caused by a sequence of DNA mutations caused by the gene. The well reported nature of these findings began the spark of the wide spread belief that cancer is in fact genetic. These happenings have now cumulated into the mammoth research project through the International Cancer Genome Consortium (ICGC) in which the leviathan like organization seeks to identify and catalogue the genetic mutation structure of 50 different cancer types. ICGC scientists from 10 different countries predict it will take “at least five years and many hundreds of thousands of dollars to complete this mammoth task” in addition to developing new drugs. Scientists suggest that if the DNA mutations that lead to cancer can be detected early enough through “MoT-style blood tests” then specific drug treatments can begin for the early stage cancer. (UK Wellcome Trust Scientific Research Team of the ICGC)  Clearly stated, the hope and goal of their findings are to develop and test on their human lab-rats “more” drugs which, historically have shown to exacerbate existing conditions while creating brand new ones, all while growing fat pockets for the pharmaceutical industry.
The Notion of Genetic Cancer Proven Unequivocally False
As you may have not heard, Dr. Weinberg reversed his original theory 12 years ago after discovering that less than one DNA base in a million appeared to have been miscopied, concluding that not enough defect existed to cause cell mutation. His exact words: &#8220;Something was very wrong. The notion that a cancer developed through the successive activation of a series of oncogenes had lost its link to reality&#8221;. More recently, in 2005, the directors of the world&#8217;s largest cancer research center in Houston, Texas, announced that cancer&#8217;s prime cause is not genetic.  Despite the magnitude of these reports, they’ve been widely overlooked by the mainstream media, leaving most in the dark as to the cause, cure and prevention of a disease that killed 7.6 million people worldwide in 2007 (The American Cancer Society).
The Notoriously Illusive Cure
Reflect over your lifetime as to how many times you can recall hearing reports of Millions of dollars in grant money being awarded for cancer research. I’ve personally seen unfathomable amounts of money poured into projects like these; yet, where’s the cure, where are the effective prevention methods, where are the answers? Hundreds of people are receiving new cancer diagnosis everyday. What other profession can you name that is paid millions of dollars and consistently fails its mission over and over again? I can’t name one.
Studies published leading people to believe “the genetic code of cancer has been cracked” and that “scientists are on the brink of a cure” serve to give hope (albeit false) for a “someday” cure.  In actuality their design is to drive large amounts of money in the form of donations, grants and fundraisers to fund more research and develop new drugs to saturate people with. Prescription drugs weren’t designed to cure illness or disease; at best they provide temporary relief, but ultimately, history has shown them to exacerbate existing conditions. And if history shows that drugs aren’t the solution (which it does), then why continue spending millions of tax payer dollars to fund “false hope” research in search of new drugs?   I suspect that “fear” drives most of this and the cancer industry is well aware of the trump card called “fear.”
The Cause, Cure, and Prevention of Cancer  &#8211; Yes There IS Hope
Prevention is always better than cure and is in fact the key to conquering cancer. Based on the 1966 discovery of one of the great Biochemists of the 20th century, Dr. Otto Warburg along with detailed experiments, verified numerous times by scientists, the prime cause of cancer was shown to be the inhibition of cellular respiration (hypoxia) to the degree of at least 35%. Clinical researcher Dr. Amid Habib confirms that because no “cancer cell” exists, the disease can be prevented if the full capacity of cellular respiration is kept in tact.  Researchers found that Essential Fatty Acids (EFA’s), which are highly oxygen absorbing entities, actually make it possible for enough oxygen to reach the cells via cell membranes.
Consumption of two primary EFA’s – Omega 6 and Omega 3 allow the body to manufacturer any supplemental EFA derivatives it might need. Studies found that exercise alone wasn’t enough to keep oxygen deprivation at the cellular level below the 35% mark; due to the fact that the enriched supply of oxygen to the blood doesn’t transfer oxygen into the cell membrane, showing why some athletes still develop cancer.
Research then began looking into what environmental and/or dietary factors would cause a cell to become oxygen deficient to the degree of 35%. It was shown that consumption of genetically modified polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) which incorporates into cell membranes, interfering with cellular oxygen transmission is a fundamental cause of cancer. If undamaged omega 6 isn’t fed to the brain, organs and muscles, the body will have no other choice but to use damaged EFAs like polyunsaturated fatty acids, causing cellular de-oxygenation. And when the body’s omega-6 supply is less than what’s required, the body will prioritize delivery, supplying the organs it considers most vital first: the brain, heart, lungs, and kidneys.
The work and research of Johanna Budwig, a German scientist and biochemist brought about a scientific revolution connecting the relationship between cancer research and fat metabolism.  Yet, most of her work has gone unnoticed by conventional medicine as they continue to propagate the gene theory of cancer.  Could it be because something as intricate as “gene therapy” let’s them off-the-hook and thus enables them to continue to request millions of research dollars and give us mile-markers such as “research will take 5-10 years”?  How many times have we heard this?
Marching to a Different Drummer
Regardless of the public’s dedication to what the conventional medical community teaches in regards to preventing and treating cancer, the continued rise over the last 40 years is a clear sign of the cancer industry’s ineffectiveness and possible unwillingness to admit that past and current research is not providing the answers that are needed to cure cancer.  The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.  We have had at least 40 years of “insanity”. Despite the magnitude of research such as that of Dr. Budwig, it remains largely unknown to the public, irrespective of the fact that no scientist or expert in the field has ever disproven the work. The good news although is that a precancerous cell which has a lower degree of oxygen inhibition can be prevented from permanently becoming cancerous if oxygen deficiency is stopped early enough.
Quotes by Dr. Johanna Budwig from Cancer The Problem And The Solution

“….everything is to no avail if a person’s normal respiration is cut off by fats that have incorrectly been made to have a long shelf life, i.e. that hinder oxygen absorption….Pseudo oils e.g. poly oils made to have a long shelf life disturb the healing process…Cancer is a disease of the entire body. In therapy the entire life process must be given the possibility to heal and to overcome the cancer disease.”
One scientist in the USA, a professor of natural science published: “Our society is sacrificing itself on the altar of pseudo-science if it does not want to ultimately acknowledge what is being offered to people as edible fat.  We cannot avoid this issue.”
“Fats are the substances that govern all life phenomena, which responsibly participate for orderly vital function, growth and absorption of the sun.  Vitamins, trace elements, etc. off no aid to a person IF he has been harmed by consuming the wrong fats.  We must recognize the reason for the damage if we want to help this person.”
“The dependence on the acid-base balance discussed so often today, this balance will only be restored if highly unsaturated fats are restored as the natural basis in the vital function in the blood and in the lymph of the person, through a natural supply of natural seed oils with the highly unsaturated fats.  All other functions are important and remain important, but the base disturbance must be resolved.”

The results of continual marketing and use of harmful pesticides and herbicides on our lawns, playgrounds and golf courses are now showing up as very real health concerns for many Americans, especially children.  It seems that a beautiful lawn and the status it brings is becoming more important than our long-term safety and health.  Chemical companies continue their mantra that poisons are really safe and cause no harm to our environment or health.  We now have enough evidence that this is not what evidence is showing.  Enough is Enough.  It&#8217;s time to take a look at the real truth and not from someone trying to sell you a &#8220;green lawn.&#8221;  Try something different this year &#8212; first educate yourself about the organic lawn movement and organic gardening and then put into practice what you have learned.  I think you will find that you can still have a beautiful lawn and productive garden without the hazards of chemicals.  And when your neghbors ask &#8212; take the time to share and educate!  Most of the information below is from www.safelawns.org
Wives of Pesticide Applicators at Risk

The American Journal of Epidemiology, which publishes studies on long-term cause-and-effect relationships of disease, recently found that wives of licensed pesticide applicators are up to 40 percent more likely to suffer thyroid disorders. Here is a link to Reuters’ coverage of the study:

Utah Deaths Bring Warnings from Experts: All Pesticides Dangerous

The media in Utah is understandably abuzz in trying to comprehend the tragic deaths of two young sisters from an apparent pesticide poisoning. From all indications, the pesticide company in Utah did use the pesticide according to directions — yet two children are dead.

Second Girl Dies in Apparent Pesticide Poisoning in Utah
Thu, Feb 11, 2010
As reported in the national media (although not loudly enough) two days ago, a 4-year-old girl died of apparent pesticide poisoning after her parents hired a company to rid their lawn of voles. On Tuesday, the girl’s 15-month-old sister also passed away.
Film Asks: Banned in Canada, Why Not Here?
A Chemical Reaction &#8211; Set for New Jersey Film Festival

NEW BRUNSWICK, NEW JERSEY — Aiming to bring Canada’s lawn and garden pesticide revolution to the United States, the producers of the controversial documentary movie “A Chemical Reaction” announced a work-in-progress premiere at the New Jersey Film Festival.
Centered on the small town of Hudson, Quebec, that was the first municipality in North America to ban common lawn and garden pesticides nearly two decades ago, the 80-minute film explores a landmark case decided in the Canadian Supreme Court in 2001. After the Court’s 9-0 verdict against the billion-dollar lawn care giant then known as ChemLawn, most Canadian municipalities followed Hudson’s lead and enacted pesticide bans of their own. In 2008, retail giant Home Depot removed products such as weed ’n feed and Roundup from its shelves in Canada.
“The film asks the obvious question: ‘If Canadians have decided to ban these products, why does the U.S. still sell them?’” said Paul Tukey, the American author and anti-pesticide activist who serves as narrator. “It’s not just a lawn care movie, though. The core story — how a few people in one town could ultimately change an entire nation’s stance — is a testament to the human spirit and what is possible in a democratic society with freedom of the press and an open court system.”
Though portions of the film have been previewed favorably at private events across Canada and the U.S., the showings at the New Jersey Film Festival Oct. 4 and 9 at 7 p.m. mark the first public screenings of the nearly completed project. The festival’s director said he was delighted when the movie appeared among this year’s entries.
“‘A Chemical Reaction’ was one of seven feature-length documentary films selected for public screening by the 2009 New Jersey Film Festival’s panel of judges out of 71 documentary films submitted by filmmakers from around the world,” said Professor Albert G. Nigrin, Executive Director/Curator of the Rutgers Film Co-op and New Jersey Media Arts Center. “It’s going to be an important film.”
Tukey noted that New Jersey was the ideal location for the premiere, slated for Scott Hall on the Rutgers campus in New Brunswick.
“The state is truly at the forefront of the anti-pesticide and organic lawn care movement,” said the founder of SafeLawns.org. “Numerous municipalities in New Jersey are looking at pesticide bans of their own and they are encountering the same pressures from the same chemical company lobbyists that Hudson faced. It ought to be easy to make our lawns and playgrounds safe for our pets and kids, but it’s not. There are billions of dollars at stake here and the lawn care companies won’t give that up without a major fight.”
The film marks the first feature project for director Brett Plymale, an Emmy nominated videographer and editor.  He plans to attend both the Oct. 4th and 9th screenings. Tukey will be on hand for Oct. 4.
“I feel fortunate to be involved in the telling of such an important world-changing story, one that has not been explored previously in a movie format,” said Plymale. “If we did our job well, we have the opportunity to effect change — which is probably every documentarian’s goal.
“Initially I wanted to make this film simply because it’s a great story of a modern-day David vs. Goliath,” said Plymale. “But as I delved deeper into the intricacies of how the movement gained momentum and the impact that it had on the entire continent of North America, my motivation has become more driven to find out what forces are at work to shape public opinion, and why we collectively, willingly do things that are potentially harmful to ourselves.”
The film has already earned solid reviews from initial press screenings.
“It’s one of the most eye-opening environmental documentaries I’ve ever seen,” said Tim Rhys, founder of MovieMaker magazine. “Like Michael Moore and Morgan Spurlock before them, Tukey and Plymale do an outstanding job of bringing an insidious health issue to light in a way that’s both entertaining and engaging. If you have children and care about the world they’re growing up in, then despite the fact that it may leave you shaken, if not enraged, A Chemical Reaction is a film you need to see.”

Recently I can became aware of the price for a few pieces of paper after receiving rejections from the insurer on physician visits and ancillary services (radiology, labs). The initial request by Blue Cross was for our physicians to send medical records directly to Blue Cross. Both providers did so after we signed a record release (HIPPA), and without a charge. After waiting the prescribed time period, we were told by Blue Cross that the records were probably somewhere in the Blue Cross system but without a letter stating the specific reason for sending them along with the records they had no way of assigning to a patient. We still don't know where those specific records are: an employee home, the shredder, in a file somewhere, they couldn't tell us.In order to get our case reviewed for payment, which in our case is application to our high deductible, we had to order the medical records be sent again, except this time we needed them in our hands so we could attach a letter. We contacted the providers again, (one at a practice and another that is a hospital managed office) and were told it would be at one office and at another for a copy given to the patient. Let me repeat - free if sent to the insurance provider, if given to you.The medical record at the first provider was 6 pages (4 pages were labs), the other about 12 (again - mostly labs). So for 18 pages of information - it was or a cost of .83 a page. The fee was not based on how many pages, but a flat fee.It takes about 10 seconds to copy a page if you are doing it manually, and if you have a higer end copier - about 10 seconds total for the entire chart. Time to pull the chart - about 3o seconds. Total max time: 1 to 2 minutes. At the rate of for 2 minutes - that would be 0 an hour (30 records copied @ ).So besides the hassle of being rejected, the hours spent on the phone trying to understand why, and all the other obstacles - we are now being charged extraordinary fees when trying to get our own medical records. It just doesn't seem right to be charged for a copy of the same medical records that are given as a courtesy to the insurance plans. What do you think?

Despite rules and regulations that have been echoed time and again from the many different efforts across this country, wrong site surgery cases are still occurring every day. Just Google the words "operated on wrong side" and you will get quite a few links to recent cases of surgery performed on the wrong site.In Rhode Island last year, a hospital was fined 0,000 for wrong site surgery that occurred with 5 patients since 2007. The hospital was also ordered to install video cameras in the OR and staff it with a non-clinician "monitoring if surgeons are marking operation sites, and taking time outs to determine if the correct body part has been located for surgery"This was the first time that the Rhode Island State Health Department has ever issued fines. See article.Interesting though, is the lack of seriousness to this issue by the State Health Department as "Rhode Island Hospital has 45 days to install the recording equipment in its operating rooms and every doctor will be taped during surgery at least twice a year, reported the AP. It will be at the hospital’s discretion to advice surgeons if they are being monitored."Surgeons will most likely get advance notice of the taping of two operations a year recorded for posterity making it useless for prevention.Have you been a victim of wrong site surgery?Related articles:Wrong Site Surgery is a Never Event

Wrong site surgeries have been occurring since operations have been performed. Wrong site surgery is considered a preventable error involving a surgical procedure performed on the wrong patient, wrong body part, and/or wrong side of the body. (Chodruff)The definition also encompasses patients who are not scheduled for a procedure, procedures which are performed and not scheduled, or those which differ from what was scheduled; in all cases, there is a breakdown in communication, causing the error. According to Medicare, wrong site surgery is a "Never event". Never events are events that should never happen because when they do occur, they can cause serious injury or death to the patient.Examples of never events include: Surgery on a wrong body part, Surgery on a wrong patient, wrong surgery on a patient. In most cases, Medicare pays only for items or services that are reasonable and necessary for the treatment of the patients condition, or certain preventive services required by the Medicare law. Medicare does not pay the doctor and the hospital/outpatient surgery center for an erroneous surgery.

Please forward this information to everyone: Schools, physician offices, training centers, senior centers, firemen, etc. Cardiac Science Corporation and FDA notified healthcare professionals and consumers of a recall because the automated external defibrillator (AED) may not be able to deliver therapy during a cardiac resuscitation attempt, which may lead to serious adverse events or death. These AEDs were manufactured in a way that makes them potentially susceptible to failure under certain conditions. Each of the approximately 12,200 devices affected in this recall can be confirmed at the Cardiac Science Web site, www.cardiacscience.com/AED195. The affected AEDs were manufactured or serviced between October 19, 2009 and January 15, 2010 and include the following models - Powerheart 9300A, 9300E, 9300P, 9390A, 9390E, CardioVive 92532 and CardioLife 9200G and 9231.Each affected AED should immediately be removed from service since it may not deliver the expected therapy.

Everyone know someone who has had surgery. But did you know that breakdowns in the surgical care process can happen at many points? Procedures are in place to match the patient's arm band with verbally asking the patient what their birth date is to insure it is the correct patient. The surgeon marks the patient prior to arriving in the OR. OR staff is responsible to insure the appropriate consent form indicates the body part the surgeon has marked prior to induction of anesthesia. The area is then prepped and the surgeon's initials should still remain after preparation for surgery to indicate the site. At every point in the process there is a possibility of error. The actions of the surgeon in the OR are a huge determinant of whether wrong site surgery occurs; surgeons have control of the actual incisions and procedures performed. Despite having all the right consent forms and procedures outlined, ultimately control lies in the hands of the surgeon. With that being said, incidence of wrong site surgery increases with transfer of patients from one surgeon to another as well as having multiple surgeons operating at one time. The Joint Commission states the root cause analysis (RCA) of wrong site surgeries are that:1. Time out procedures aren't performed2. Not verifying consents or site markings3. Inaccurate consents/diagnostic reports/images,4. Patient's positioning can be determinants as well. Larger patients/obese patients make positioning of the equipment slightly different than what normally happens in the OR.Related Articles:Wrong Site Surgery is a Never EventDespite efforts to avert - Wrong Site Surgery still occurs
